Gene Watson with Special Guest Wilson Fairchild

If you ask any number of country singers who their favorite singer is, a large number of them will respond: Gene Watson. His music peers even named him “The Singer’s Singer” for his octave jumping range and smooth tone. Over his 60-year career, Watson has amassed 34 studio albums and scored over 72 charted songs, including 23 Top 10s and 6 #1 hits. His first single, the self- penned, “If It’s That Easy” was released in 1962. Since then he’s built a reputation for soulful ballads in the classic country tradition. Some of his many hits include “Love in the Hot Afternoon,” “Where Love Begins,” “Should I Come Home (Or Should I Go Crazy),” and “Nothing Sure Looked Good on You.”

Wilson Fairchild is a country music duo made up of Wil and Langdon Reid from the beautiful Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. They get their “entertainment chops” honestly. Wil’s dad is Harold Reid and Langdon’s dad is Don Reid of the legendary Statler Brothers. Along with recording their own music, such artists as the Statler Brothers, Ricky Skaggs, and Dailey & Vincent have recorded their songs, as well.
