Nickel Creek

Nickel Creek is the platinum-selling, internationally renowned roots trio of mandolinist Chris Thile, violinist Sara Watkins and guitarist Sean Watkins. The Grammy-winning band has revolutionized folk and roots music since first performing together as children at a pizza parlor in San Diego in 1989, signing to acclaimed roots label Sugar Hill Records after wowing the bluegrass circuit for a decade. Nickel Creek quickly broke through in 2000 with their Grammy-nominated, Alison Krauss-produced self-titled LP, which showcased not just their instrumental virtuosity but their burgeoning songwriting prowess. The trio quickly followed that effort with the Krauss-produced This Side, a landmark release that earned Nickel Creek the Grammy Award for Best Contemporary Folk Album and brought their progressive take on acoustic music to a broader audience, greatly influencing the sound and trajectory of roots music in the process.

Bonnie Raitt

Bonnie Raitt

Bonnie Raitt was raised in Los Angeles in a climate of respect for the arts, Quaker traditions, and a commitment to social activism. A Stella guitar given to her as a Christmas present launched Bonnie on her creative journey at the age of eight. While growing up, though passionate about music from the start, she never considered that it would play a greater role than as one of her many growing interests. Many years and 21 albums later, Bonnie has never felt more grateful that she can continue making music, contributing to causes, keeping her crew working, connecting with her audience, and being recognized with the highest honors and accolades in her industry.

Aaron Lewis 2024 Acoustic Tour

Aaron Lewis Acoustic Tour

Grammy nominated and multi-platinum artist, Aaron Lewis first made his country debut in 2011 with certified gold single “Country Boy” followed by the release of his first full length solo album, The Road. “Country Boy” featured Charlie Daniels on fiddle and a booming verse from George Jones as well as Chris Young striking a balance between classic and modern country. Lewis’ introspective, personal and relatable lyrics are proof that country music is about lifestyle and values, not necessarily where you were raised.

Marty Stuart & His Fabulous Superlatives

Marty Stuart & His Fabulous Superlatives

Marty Stuart was born in Philadelphia, Mississippi, in 1958 and grew up obsessed with country music. He learned guitar and mandolin as a child and by age 12 was performing with a local bluegrass group. Stuart was one of the most eclectic country artists to rise to stardom in the ’80s, moving between honky tonk, rockabilly, country-rock, traditional country, Western music, gospel, and bluegrass. He easily balanced the various sides of his musical personality, with his love of country music’s past and present the common bond between it all. AMT is excited to welcome Marty and his longtime band The Fabulous Superlatives – Kenny Vaughan, Harry Stinson and Chris Scruggs – back to Lancaster.

Stayin' Alive and a Bronx Tale

Stayin’ Alive: One Night of The Bee Gees

The Luther Burbank Center for the Arts in Santa Rosa, California has hosted Stayin’ Alive, and said that “The vocal match of the trio to the Gibb brothers – Barry, Robin, and Maurice – creates an eerie sense of seeing The Bee Gees live in concert. The performance captures a full history of The Bee Gees music, beginning with their 1967 breakout album Bee Gees First and songs such as ‘I Got to Get a Message to You’ and ‘I Started a Joke,’ and continuing with ‘How Deep is Your Love,’ ‘Love You Inside Out,’ and ‘Too Much Heaven.” Come see why Stayin’ Alive: One Night of The Bee Gees will allow you to re-live those great memories of the ’70s.

A Bronx Tale: One Man Show Starring Chazz Palminteri

Well known for his unique ability to create the lovable tough guy, Chazz Palminteri wrote A Bronx Tale in 1989 while a member at Theater West in LA. His Machiavellian fable was based on his childhood and life experiences growing up in his Italian–American Bronx neighborhood. Palminteri wrote the stage play and performed it as a one-man show in Los Angeles, quickly becoming the hottest property in Hollywood since Rocky. Mr. Palminteri was offered over one million dollars to walk away from the project and with $200 left in the bank he refused. He wanted to play Sonny and write the screenplay, however the studios were not willing to give an unknown a shot – until one night when Robert DeNiro walked in to see the show and as they say ”the rest is history.”

TESLA

That they are still roaring and soaring should be no surprise. That’s just how they are built. The ground started shaking in Sacramento, CA, in 1984; gold country that would soon be producing
some platinum. TESLA started out as City Kidd, until a suggested name change to TESLA, honoring the eccentric inventor Nikola Tesla who pioneered all things electrical. Over the years the band has continued to record and release material including nine new albums since 2000. As comfortable, rugged, and dependable as your favorite pair of boots, they endure. TESLA is a celebration of the greatest spirits of rock and roll.

The Temptations & The Four Tops

The Temptations became the definitive vocal group of the 1960s, thanks in part to their impeccable harmonies, a parade of hits, and fine-tuned choreography. Among their many achievements are 14 R&B #1 singles and 15 Top Ten pop hits, four of which include the #1 smashes “My Girl,” “I Can’t Get Next to You,” “Just My Imagination (Running Away with Me),” and “Papa Was a Rollin’ Stone.” The last of those four and “Cloud Nine” earned the group Grammy awards for Best R&B Performance. The Temptations were also honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Recording Academy and received a Lifetime Achievement Grammy Award in 2013.

The Four Tops helped define the Motown sound of the 1960s. All four members of the group began their careers together while they were high-school students in Detroit. The Four Tops have won numerous awards over the years including Top 100 Artists of All Time from Billboard Magazine, a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award, the Pioneer Award from the Rhythm and Blues Foundation, and were included on Rolling Stone’s 500 Greatest Songs of All Time list in 2003. Two of their massive hits – “Reach Out (I’ll Be There)” and “I Can’t Help Myself (Sugar Pie, Honey Bunch)” – were both inducted into The Grammy Hall of Fame.

STOMP

Originally founded in London in 1991, STOMP is an inventive and invigorating stage show that blends dance, music, and theater as the eight performers manage to wield energizing beats without a traditional narrative into an electric and unforgettable performance. The show draws sounds from found objects – Zippo lighters, push brooms, wooden poles, hammer handles, garbage cans, inner tubes, matchboxes, even the kitchen sink – for a unique sound that the audience feels as much as it hears. “We make a rhythm out of anything we can get our hands on that makes a sound” says company co-founder Luke Cresswell.
