Fan favorite and two-time Dancing with the Stars professional champion Val Chmerkovskiy has joined the cast of “Dancing with the Stars: Live! – A Night to Remember,” coming to AMT January 22-24. The show will feature favorite professional and troupe dancers from Season 27 in a brand-new production showcasing every type of dance style as seen on ABC’s hit show Dancing with the Stars, ranging from ballroom and jazz to modern and hip-hop. Audiences will have the opportunity to experience the excitement, glamour, and glitz they see in the ballroom every Monday night.

The tour delivers a spectacular night of show-stopping dance performances from world-renowned dancers including Brandon Armstrong, Alan Bersten, Witney Carson, Artem Chigvintsev, Val Chmerkovskiy, Sasha Farber, Jenna Johnson, Gleb Savchenko, Emma Slater, Hayley Erbert, and Britt Stewart, with more surprise casting to be announced.*

Little River Band with special guest Ambrosia

Little River Band is considered to be one of Australia’s most significant bands. Their impressive songwriting skills, powerful vocals, and masterful guitar harmonies immediately helped them claim their place as one of the great vocal bands of the 70s and 80s. Their chart success included “Help Is on Its Way,” “Take It Easy on Me,” “Reminiscing,” “Lonesome Loser,” “Lady,” “Cool Change,” and “The Night Owls.” Ambrosia’s pop rock musical style reflects progressive, classical, and world influences, infused with blues and R&B. With five Grammy nominations to their credit, Ambrosia rose to prominence with the hits “Holdin’ on to Yesterday,” “You’re the Only Woman,” “How Much I Feel,” and “Biggest Part of Me.”

Since his childhood days in Appalachia, Ronnie Milsap has been drawn to the simple and plaintive sounds of country music. One of the major figures of the genre in the 1970s, Milsap developed a hybrid of country, blues, R&B, pop, and rock sounds. This Grammy, CMA, and ACM award winner has amassed 40 #1 country hits including “Smoky Mountain Rain,” “(There’s) No Gettin’ Over Me,” “He Got You,” and “Any Day Now.” Lorrie Morgan has been around great songs all her life. The daughter of a Country Music Hall of Fame member, Morgan made her debut on the Grand Ole Opry stage at age 13 and has gone on to enjoy multi-platinum record status and CMA awards. “Watch Me,” “What Part of No,” “Except for Monday,” and “Something in Red” are just a few of the many hits from this emotive country vocalist.

Frankie Avalon went from 50’s teen idol to a national and international star. His first song “De De Dinah” became a smash hit and his recording of “Venus” was one of the biggest selling hits of the era. His follow-up hits include “Bobbysocks to Stockings,” “Just Ask Your Heart,” and “A Boy Without a Girl.” With a series of performances on Dick Clark’s American Bandstand, Fabian became one of the top teen idols of the late 1950’s. Fabian enjoyed great success with the hits “Turn Me Loose,” “Hound Dog Man,” and the million-selling “Tiger” single. Another American Bandstand alum was Bobby Rydell, who had million selling singles with “Volare,” “Wild One,” and “We Got Love,” and additional success with “Swingin’ School,” “Kissin’ Time,” and “Forget Him.” This show is sure to bring back many a teenage memory!

After the final curtain drops on Songs of the Silver Screen on October 5, long time singer/guitarist Wess Cooke and his wife, Billie Jayne, will bid adieu to AMT as they embark on new adventures in Maine.

We’d like to express our thanks and gratitude to Wess for his dedication and wonderful performances in our Original Shows over the past 18 years.

The American Music Theatre family enthusiastically shares in Wess and Billie Jayne’s excitement in their new endeavors and wish them all the best.
