George Thorogood & The Destroyers: The Baddest Show on Earth

Over the past year alone, George Thorogood & The Destroyers have been honored by The Recording Academy’s GRAMMY Museum and The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame’s Legends of Rock exhibit, and delivered triumphant performances at New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival as well as on a top-selling U.S. summer 2024 tour with John Fogerty. Meanwhile, Thorogood became the first entertainer in history to receive The University of Delaware’s Medal of Distinction ‘for significant cultural contributions to society’, along with the official renaming of a campus passageway near the site of Thorogood’s December 1st, 1973, debut performance as ‘Thorogood Alley’.

This was, after all, a celebration of George Thorogood & The Destroyers’ 50th Anniversary. And in a five decade career also fueled by 8,000+ live shows, more than 15 million albums sold, and a global reputation as “the band that plays hot enough to melt the polar icecaps” (Rolling Stone), “one of the 5 best acts left out of The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame” (WNBF Binghamton), and “a snarling embodiment of blues rock’s renegade spirit” (Classic Rock), where can “one of the most iconic bands in rock history” (Rapid City Journal) possibly go from here?

“That’s all pretty good for the first 50 years,” George Thorogood says with a laugh. “But we keep working harder, digging deeper and playing stronger. Now it’s time to go back out there and do some serious rockin’.” For George Thorogood & The Destroyers, serious rockin’ will always be what they do best. And for 2025, The Baddest Show On Earth Tour will bring the guitar-slinging, amp-blasting, roof-shaking rock party like never before.

Melissa Etheridge: Spring Tour 2025

Melissa Etheridge stormed onto the American rock scene in 1988 with the release of her critically acclaimed self-titled debut album, which led to an appearance on the 1989 Grammy Awards show. For several years, her popularity grew around such memorable originals as “Bring Me Some Water,” “No Souvenirs” and “Ain’t It Heavy,” for which she won a Grammy in 1992. Etheridge hit her commercial and artistic stride with her fourth album, Yes I Am (1993). The collection featured the massive hits, “I’m the Only One” and “Come to My Window,” a searing song of longing that brought Etheridge her second Grammy Award for Best Female Rock Performance. In 1995, Etheridge issued her highest charting album, Your Little Secret, which was distinguished by the hit single, “I Want to Come Over.” Her astounding success that year led to Etheridge receiving the Songwriter of the Year honor at the ASCAP Pop Awards in 1996.

Chubby Checker with Chris Ruggiero and Twitty & Lynn

Chubby Checker

Every time Chubby Checker steps onto a stage, he demonstrates charisma and a unique quality that can never be equaled. Chubby Checker remains one of the most exciting performers out there and he only gets better with time.

In 1960 Chubby Checker went on American Bandstand where he performed The Twist. Those two minutes and 42 seconds forever changed the way we dance to the beat!  In the same year, The Twist hit #1 on the charts and did so again in 1962. The Twist is the only non-holiday song to ever hit the #1 position in different years.

Chubby holds a number of “firsts” including: first platinum record ever with Let’s Twist Again; first artist to receive a Grammy for the best rock and roll recording for Let’s Twist Again; first artist to perform a televised Super Bowl halftime show; and The Twist is Billboard’s first #1 record of all time (and was #1 song for 65 years).

Chubby Checker is the only artist to have 5 albums in the top 12 all at once. In those days, each album had 12 songs so that means he had 60 songs in the top 12 on the album charts all at the same time. He is the only artist to ever have nine double-sided hits at the same time.

Twitty & Lynn

We are excited to welcome Twitty & Lynn back for two performances!

There’s a moment at the beginning of any Twitty & Lynn show that affords country music fans the chance to look back in time.  Tre Twitty, the grandson of Conway Twitty, and Tayla Lynn, the granddaughter of Loretta Lynn, are not impersonators.  Rather, they are onstage celebrating country music, the lost art of duet singing, and two beloved country icons.  In 2022 they made their debut on the world-famous Grand Ole Opry, singing “Louisiana Woman, Mississippi Man” on the very same circle of wood where Conway and Loretta once stood.  The duo credits their show’s popularity to the timeless songs of Conway and Loretta – duets like “After the Fire Is Gone” and “You’re the Reason Our Kids Are Ugly,” along with Conway and Loretta solo hits like “Hello, Darlin’” and “Coal Miner’s Daughter.”
