Jimmy Sturr & The Tokens

Jimmy Sturr, the internationally known “King of Polka,” has won a Grammy for Best Polka Album 18 times, and his is the only Polka band to perform on stage at the Grand Ole Opry. Arguably the most popular Polka band in America, Jimmy Sturr’s orchestra is on the Top Ten List of the All-Time Grammy Awards, and has acquired more Grammy nominations than anyone in the history of Polka music.

Best known for his soaring falsetto on “The Lion Sleeps Tonight,” the multi-talented Jay Siegel and his Tokens have also produced many American pop classics, including The Chiffons’ “One Fine Day” and “He’s So Fine,” Randy and the Rainbows “Denise,” Tony Orlando’s “Candida,” “Knock Three Times,” and “Tie a Yellow Ribbon,” as well as “I Got Rhythm” and “See You in September” by The Happenings.

Sharing the ups and downs of his childhood experiences as one of 11 children, iconic comedian Louie Anderson is one of the country’s most recognized and adored comics, named by Comedy Central as “One of 100 Greatest Stand-Up Comedians of All Time.” A three-time Emmy Award winner, Anderson’s career has spanned more than 30 years. This best-selling author and star of his own standup specials and sitcoms continues to tour the country performing to standing-room-only crowds worldwide.

Rita Rudner moved to New York at the age of 15 to dance on Broadway. It was there that she began exploring the comedy clubs of Manhattan. She applied the same learning techniques she had acquired as a dancer to comedy. Rudner developed her trademark epigrammatic style and took a full-time leap form chorus lines to punch lines. As an author, producer, and actress, Rudner’s first love remains stand-up comedy.

A street poet and singer of extraordinary versatility, Dion helped define rock ‘n roll for a generation. From his Dove Award winning gospel albums to his genre-defining Southern rock anthems and CMA Award winning country hits, Charlie Daniels has parlayed his passion for music into a multi-platinum career. The Charlie Daniels Band boasts a long list of memorable hits including “Long Haired Country Boy,” “The South’s Gonna Do It Again,” “In America,” “The Legend of Wooley Swamp,” and of course, their signature song, the Grammy Award winning “The Devil Went Down to Georgia.”

With its definitive blend of rock, rhythm & blues, jazz, country, and gospel, the Marshall Tucker Band has recorded 22 studio albums, seven of which were certified gold, with three going platinum. Frankie Avalon went from 50’s teen idol to a national and international star. His first song “De De Dinah” became a smash hit and his recording of “Venus” was one of the biggest selling hits of the era. His follow-up hits include “Bobbysocks to Stockings,” “Just Ask Your Heart,” and “A Boy Without a Girl.”
With a series of performances on Dick Clark’s American Bandstand, Fabian became one of the top teen idols of the late 1950’s. Fabian enjoyed great success with the hits “Turn Me Loose,” “Hound Dog Man,” and the million-selling “Tiger” single.
Another American Bandstand alum was Bobby Rydell, who had million selling singles with “Volare,” “Wild One,” and “We Got Love,” and additional success with “Swingin’ School,” “Kissin’ Time,” and “Forget Him.” This show is sure to bring back many a teenage memory!

The Kingston Trio rose to become the undisputed kings of an acoustic musical genre that exploded in the 1950’s and 60’s. For over 60 years, the group has performed their timeless classics including “Where Have All the Flowers Gone?” and “Tom Dooley.” The Kingston Trio received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Grammys in 2011.

The Brothers Four were pioneers in the folk revival. Their all-acoustic performances consist of guitars, banjo, mandolin, upright bass, and of course, the trademark rich blend of their four voices. Musical million-sellers for The Brothers Four include “Greenfields,” “Try to Remember,” “Across the Wide Missouri,” and “The Green Leaves of Summer.”

For 60+ years The Limeliters have entertained standing-room-only crowds with their incredible musical talent and zany sense of humor. They first made their mark in folk clubs and on college campuses in the early 60’s. Hits include “There’s a Meetin’ Here Tonight,” “City of New Orleans,” “A Dollar Down,” and “Lonesome Traveler.”
