Dr. Seuss’ The Cat in the Hat – Live on Stage!

The kids are bored.. again..! What to do with YOUR Thing One and Thing 2?!

Here’s an idea: Bring the whole family to the Worlds Number 1 ‘The Cat in the Hat’ show for an experience they’ll never forget. The story has been around for over 50 years and kids still love it… just like you did!

Two bored kids (This was way before iPads). One rainy day (We’ve all had a few of those) And one crazy cat wearing a red-striped hat (Where was the background check for that babysitter?!)

In 1957, Dr Seuss used only 200 words to write his classic tale. More than 50 years later, The Cat in the Hat is a much-loved children’s phenomenon. The play was adapted for the stage in 2009 by the National Theatre of Britain. The Cat in The Hat interrupts this rainy afternoon with his unexpected visit to Sally and her brother’s cozy home. Their outspoken and outraged pet Fish is astounded and concerned, but this cat will not be deterred. He will teach us all to make our own fun with nothing but a little imagination. “It’s fun to have fun, but you have to know how” Along with Thing One and Thing Two, the cat will fill the theatre with mischievous humour and madcap style.

A timeless tale with a twist—this energetic adaptation bursts onto the stage (and maybe into the aisles). Expect laughs, surprises, and just a bit of delightful disorder!

ZZ Top: The Elevation Tour

“That Little Ol’ Band From Texas” has been at it for well over a half century, delivering rock, blues and boogie on the road and in the studio to millions of devoted fans. With iconography as distinctive as their sound, ZZ TOP is virtually synonymous with beards, hotrod cars, spinning guitars and that magic keychain, all of which transcend geography and language.

It was in Houston in the waning days of 1969 that ZZ TOP coalesced from the core of two rival bands, Billy Gibbons’ Moving Sidewalks and Frank Beard and Dusty Hill’s American Blues. Their third album, 1973’s Tres Hombres, catapulted them to national attention with the hit “La Grange,” still one of the band’s signature pieces today. Eliminator, their 1983 album was something of a paradigm shift for ZZ TOP. Their roots blues skew was intact but added to the mix were tech-age trappings that soon found a visual outlet with such tracks as “Sharp Dressed Man” and “Legs” on the nascent MTV. It was one of the music industry’s first albums to have been certified Diamond, far beyond Gold and Platinum and a reflection of US domestic sales exceeding 10 million units.

Burton Cummings of the Guess Who and Riverdance

Burton Cummings

Few artists have achieved the level of public success and critical acclaim that Burton Cummings enjoys in a career spanning more than sixty years. Cummings’ voice has been rated among the finest in rock music.

As lead singer and songwriter of The Guess Who, he recorded and wrote/co-wrote hits such as “These Eyes,” “Laughing,” “No Time,” “American Woman,” “Share the Land,” “Hand Me Down World,” “Albert Flasher,” “Star Baby,” “Clap for The Wolfman,” and “No Sugar Tonight/New Mother Nature”. As a solo artist, Burton leaves his mark with the poignant “Stand Tall,” “I’m Scared,” “You Saved My Soul,” and his signature “My Own Way to Rock”.

With The Guess Who, Cummings achieved a long list of firsts including the first Canadian group to reach #1 on the Billboard charts—holding that spot for three weeks—and the first to earn a platinum album for U.S. sales of more than one million copies. Rolling Stone magazine hailed The Guess Who as “one of rock’s most consistently fascinating maverick bands” with a succession of songs “that has few equals among contemporary North American groups.” Dick Clark described the group as rock innovators and ambassadors of Canadian music.
