Ringo Starr and The All Starr Band thrilled a packed house of wild rock fans on July 6, eager to witness a part of rock history. That’s how Lancaster Sunday News Correspondent Steve Kopfinger described the June 25 opening of California Soul in his Sunday News review. “This is the ’60s of surfing and swinging, of mods and rockers, of good times and groovy” Kopfinger wrote. “It’s also a lot of fun.”
California Soul, AMT’s far-out tribute to the hot sounds of the 60’s and 70’s is on stage now and runs through August 14. “Grooving,” Kopfinger said, “is the operative word here.
