AMT is excited to invite YOU to audition for The 2025 Christmas Show: Deck the Halls! 

Join us for a fun-filled experience with singing, dancing and Christmas cheer! The AMT Christmas show is a holiday tradition and an opportunity to perform in front of thousands of people! 

PLEASE SEE AGE SPECIFIC AUDITION REQUIREMENTS BELOW!

Please bring resume with headshot to the audition and arrive 30 minutes prior to complete paperwork!

TEEN INFORMATION

• Ages 12-17
• Monday, May 5, 2025 – 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. (one group)
• No callbacks currently scheduled

• Looking for seasoned performers with high levels of dancing experience.
• Will learn dance combinations at the audition-Advanced Jazz, Lyrical/Ballet & Tap.
• Bring jazz, ballet and tap shoes
• Singing is not necessary to be considered.

YOUTH INFORMATION

No dancing experience required, all are welcome!

• YOUTH DANCE Audition

Please be prepared to sing your favorite Christmas song A cappella.  You will learn a dance combination – Intermediate Jazz, at the audition.  Please wear appropriate dance shoes and clothing (sneakers are ok!).

Rehearsals will begin early October (Youth & Teen Ensemble will not be needed at every rehearsal-Schedule TBD). The 2025 Christmas Show, Deck the Halls runs November 7 – December 30, 2025. Youth & Teen Ensemble will be divided into 2 teams and the teams will be scheduled throughout the run so they will not be required to do every performance. 

This is a volunteer position and no pay is included.

American Music Theatre (Lancaster, PA), a 1,600-seat celebrity concert venue that produces Original Christmas Productions, is currently accepting Woodwind Musician & Drums/Percussion Musician digital submissions for their 2025 Christmas Show, Deck the Halls.

The 2025 Christmas Show runs November 7 – December 30, 2025 with rehearsals the month of October. Rehearsals and performances are in Lancaster, PA.

Musicians

Must have high performance energy level and comfortable being featured as an onstage performer. Requirements include, but are not limited to, proficient in wide variety of musical styles including big band, musical theatre, jazz, swing, classical, pop rock etc. Singing a plus but not necessary. 

Woodwind Requirements:  Proficient in alto & tenor sax, clarinet and flute.

Drummer Requirements:  Proficient in jazz and rock styles, reading skills and classical percussion. Also, working knowledge of electronic percussion pads.  

Trombone Requirements:  Proficient in classical and jazz styles, strong reading.  Doubling ability on bass trombone is helpful but not required.

Candidates should like to work outside with the general public. No other experience is required. We will train. We have a great team – they enjoy the theatre environment. Give it a try!

We have openings for skilled sewers to work with our wardrobe department on our Christmas Show costumes.  Candidates with advanced sewing skills in construction, alterations, sewing patterns, and machine skills.

Candidates should be available to work flexible hours and will be assigned projects to work on sewing at home.

Duties & Requirements:

• Sewing by machine and by hand
• Ability to work on sewing machines and sergers
• Fast paced worker
• Skills in alterations and repairs ranging from men’s suits to gowns to every-day and formal attire for both adults and youth/teens
