Jack Hanna will be bringing some of his fun, phenomenal friends to visit this Saturday, May 11, when his Jack Hanna’s Into the Wild LIVE! show comes to Lancaster. Jack’s love for animals began at a very early age. On his website, Jack says “I got my first job when IJack-Hanna-graphic-300x205 was 11 working for our family veterinarian, Dr. Roberts, in Knoxville, Tennessee. I spent a lot of time cleaning cages, but didn’t mind because I loved being around all the animals. I worked with Dr. Roberts for several summers, and developed a great respect for animals.”

 

Jungle Jack has had several animal adventure TV shows over the years, and is excited about his most recent, Jack Hanna’s Wild Countdown. Check out Jack’s website or tune in to his show to see some of his favorite experiences with the world’s rarest, most endearing, and fascinating animals.

Inspiring Steven Spielberg for Jurassic Park
You remember the ripples in the glass of water from Jurassic Park the movie, right? Steven Spielberg EWF_Logo first came up with that idea while he was blaring Earth, Wind & Fire in his car and noticed the mirror shaking. After many attempts to get the desired ripple, “special dinosaur effects” man Michael Lantieri, who won an Oscar for his efforts, was able to pluck the right ripple-inducing frequency on a guitar string attached to the dashboard of the Ford Explorer, which the T. rex eventually used as a toothpick.

We are saddened to receive the news that country superstar George Jones passed away on Friday, April 26. th In a career that lasted more than 50 years, “Possum” recorded more than 150 albums and became the champion and symbol of traditional country music.

 

George Jones had been scheduled to perform at AMT on Sunday, June 2; ticket holders will be contacted by our Box Office staff. We are grateful for the many concerts he performed here over the years, and will miss this country music icon.

One of AMT’s favorite country music icons is having a birthday soon — Willie Nelson will turn 80 years old on Tuesday, April 30.

 

Rolling Stone Music reported that Willie spent an evening in Nashville recently with a star-studded cast of duet partners who paid tribute to the outlaw Willie-graphic-231x300 country musician at an intimate birthday soiree. The celebration doubled as a taping for a late June CMT Crossroads episode.

 

This living legend is the creative genius behind historic recordings like “Crazy,” “Hello Walls,” “Red Headed Stranger,” and “Stardust.” His career has spanned six decades. His catalog boasts more than 200 albums. He’s earned every conceivable award and honor to be bestowed a person in his profession. He has also amassed reputable credentials as an author, actor and activist, and recorded the classic country hits “Blue Eyes Crying in the Rain,” “If You’ve Got the Money (I’ve Got the Time),” “Georgia on My Mind,” “Mamas Don’t Let Your Babies Grow Up to be Cowboys,” “On the Road Again,” and “Always on My Mind.”

Our all-new Original Show Broadway: Now & Forever has officially raised the curtain! Our amazing Designers, Builders, Cast, Orchestra and Crew have worked super hard to BWAY-300x225 present the greatest songs from the greatest musicals, in concert format.

 

Andrea McCormick, AMT’s Artistic Director, wrote, directed and choreographed a magical Broadway experience with over 40 songs that tribute the Great White Way, including memorable songs from blockbuster Broadway hits like Wicked, Jersey Boys, West Side Story, Chicago, Les Miserables and more.

 

The show boasts a large cast of 23 exceptionally talented Singers, Dancers, and Musicians, and also a youth cast of 23 area youngsters, about a dozen of whom will perform in each show.
