The Happy Together Tour – 30 Years and Still Going Strong
On Sunday, June 29, the newest incarnation of the Happy Together Tour will bring the fun music of the 60s and 70s back to the AMT stage. With the exception of a short hiatus, the show has been delighting fans since 1984.
The Turtles featuring Flo & Eddie, Chuck Negron (formerly with Three Dog Night,) Mark Farner (formerly of Grand Funk Railroad,) Mitch Ryder & The Detroit Wheels, and Gary Lewis & The Playboys kick off the 30th anniversary, 56-city tour on June 7.
“It’s sizing up to be the strongest and most rocking summer we’ve had so far,” said Mark Volman (the “Flo” of Flo & Eddie) in a recent interview with Jim Bessman, Manhattan Local Music Examiner. Volman chatted with Bessman about the music, his fellow performers, and their excitement to kick off this year’s tour. To read Bessman’s entire interview with “Flo,” click here.
