Lancaster’s ALOW to Open for Blues Traveler
A newly formed Lancaster-based group, ALOW, has been tapped to open for Blues Traveler on August 24 at 8pm. The band has released their debut single “Behind the Screen,” creating a mix of alternative rock and pop with musical styling similar to that of U2, Radiohead, Kings of Leon, and Sunny Day Real Estate. ALOW combines singer/songwriter and former touring rhythm guitarist/backing vocalist for the alternative rock group Live, Adam Kowalczyk, with the members of Sleepy Limbs and features Ben Roth on guitar/MPC, Kory Gable on drums, Joe Fuscia on bass, and Avery member, Jon Smith on guitar. ALOW has already started making a name in multiple Central PA venues like Tellus360, Harrisburg Midtown Arts Center, and The Cove, and filled up Federal Taphouse for the Lancaster Roots and Blues Festival. They also nailed a headlining spot for the Launch Music Conference and Festival at the Chameleon Club this past April as well as a supporting slot for Jimmie’s Chickenshack in June.
