Chubby Checker with Chris Ruggiero and Twitty & Lynn

Chubby Checker

Every time Chubby Checker steps onto a stage, he demonstrates charisma and a unique quality that can never be equaled. Chubby Checker remains one of the most exciting performers out there and he only gets better with time.

In 1960 Chubby Checker went on American Bandstand where he performed The Twist. Those two minutes and 42 seconds forever changed the way we dance to the beat!  In the same year, The Twist hit #1 on the charts and did so again in 1962. The Twist is the only non-holiday song to ever hit the #1 position in different years.

Chubby holds a number of “firsts” including: first platinum record ever with Let’s Twist Again; first artist to receive a Grammy for the best rock and roll recording for Let’s Twist Again; first artist to perform a televised Super Bowl halftime show; and The Twist is Billboard’s first #1 record of all time (and was #1 song for 65 years).

Chubby Checker is the only artist to have 5 albums in the top 12 all at once. In those days, each album had 12 songs so that means he had 60 songs in the top 12 on the album charts all at the same time. He is the only artist to ever have nine double-sided hits at the same time.

Twitty & Lynn

We are excited to welcome Twitty & Lynn back for two performances!

There’s a moment at the beginning of any Twitty & Lynn show that affords country music fans the chance to look back in time.  Tre Twitty, the grandson of Conway Twitty, and Tayla Lynn, the granddaughter of Loretta Lynn, are not impersonators.  Rather, they are onstage celebrating country music, the lost art of duet singing, and two beloved country icons.  In 2022 they made their debut on the world-famous Grand Ole Opry, singing “Louisiana Woman, Mississippi Man” on the very same circle of wood where Conway and Loretta once stood.  The duo credits their show’s popularity to the timeless songs of Conway and Loretta – duets like “After the Fire Is Gone” and “You’re the Reason Our Kids Are Ugly,” along with Conway and Loretta solo hits like “Hello, Darlin’” and “Coal Miner’s Daughter.”
