AMT Welcomes New and Returning Performances

Hank Azaria & The EZ Street Band: A Springsteen Celebration

Hank Azaria & The EZ Street Band is a labor of love from acclaimed actor and voice artist Hank Azaria, best known for his decades of work on The Simpsons. A lifelong Bruce Springsteen fan, Azaria devoted months to perfecting both the Boss’s distinctive speaking cadence and his singing style. “I think of it as a theatrical performance,” he told Rolling Stone. “I’m staying in character as Bruce even though I’m telling stories about myself. It’s a performance piece, but I’m not a Bruce impersonator.”

The result is a joyful, full-tilt rock ’n roll experience that pays tribute to Springsteen while showcasing Azaria’s own storytelling and stage presence. He channels Bruce’s signature iconography—intimate and irreverent stories, themes of family and resilience, boundless energy, camaraderie with the band, and a pure love for performing. Backed by the powerhouse EZ Street Band, Azaria delivers an invigorating, upbeat, and ambitious show. (Even Springsteen’s longtime drummer Max Weinberg sat in for a surprise debut performance at Azaria’s 60th birthday celebration.)

The group’s first public show on August 1, 2024, sold out Le Poisson Rouge in New York City and earned glowing praise. Reviewer Dylan Roth (Observer) called it “a lively and heartfelt 80-minute celebration—not just of Springsteen’s music, but of the impact it has had on Azaria’s life.”

Combined with state-of-the-art sound and dazzling production design, the result is a performance that feels both timeless and fresh.

Beyond the music, the show is a full theatrical experience, dramatized with time-travel special effects, narration, archival 1960s audio, newsreel footage, and a dynamic light show. Together, these elements create an unforgettable night that’s part rock concert, part history lesson, and all entertainment.

Celebrated as a cross-generational crowd-pleaser, The Sixties Show has sold out performing arts centers and theaters across the country. More than just a tribute, it’s an inspiring reminder of how powerful, entertaining, and historically significant the music and culture of the 1960s remain today.
