Three Great Weekend Shows

If you’re looking for an exciting way to spend the weekend, then look no further than AMT! We’ve got three super shows to choose from. But, why choose? Treat yourself to a full weekend of great entertainment, and come to all three!

First, on Friday, February 17, it’s America and Jon Anderson. Vocalists/guitarists Dewey Bunnell and Gerry Beckley, the founding members of iconic folk-group America, have reason to celebrate these days. On Monday, February 6, America celebrated their 40-year career milestone with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. In addition, Time Life released new, acoustic versions of their biggest and most treasured songs recorded during their 40th anniversary year at the legendary Troubadour club in Los Angeles.
Jon Anderson is undoubtedly one of the most recognizable voices in progressive rock as the lead vocalist and creative force behind YES. Anderson co-authored some of the group’s biggest hits, including “I’ve Seen All Good People,” “Roundabout,” and “Owner Of A Lonely Heart.”

On Saturday, February 18, legendary funny-man Bill Cosby returns to the AMT stage. This multi-award winning comedian, actor and author can now add a new award to his resume. This past November, Mr. Cosby was named a 2012 Grammy Hall of Fame recording inductee for his comedy album, I Started Out As A Child. On his website, Mr. Cosby said “We initially released the album in November of 1964 on the Warner Brothers label. With tracks like Sneakers, Christmas Time, and Rigor Mortis… I still smile when I think about the laughs this album produced!”

Then on Sunday, February 19, Frankie Avalon, Fabian, and Bobby Rydell — The Golden Boys — will be in the house. In the 1950’s, Philadelphia’s own Frankie, Fabian and Bobby were all considered teen idols, each having successful singing and performing careers. After years of flying solo, they decided to band together and first performed as The Golden Boys in 1985. In a recent interview with Mark Voger of the Newark, NJ based Star-Ledger, Bobby Rydell recalled “When we did the first tour, there wasn’t a moment when we didn’t leave the stage laughing, just having a ball. To tell you the truth, we all thought, ‘How long is this going to last? A year? Two, tops?’ Well, this is 2011 and we’re still doing it!”
