Concert Runner/Dresser
Summary:
This position works concerts and events by assisting hospitality, vendors, and concert staff. During AMT’s Christmas Show rehearsals and the show run, this position works as a Dresser.
This position may also assist in the wardrobe department as assigned.
Responsibilities:
- Drive the assigned vehicle as needed for errands as specified in a timely safe and legal manner
- Ensure that tour personnel are transported to their locations safely, legally, and timely
- While driving for company business, cell phone use is NOT permitted unless the vehicle can be safely pulled over or parked off the road or hands-free is activated
- Ensure that all ground transportation schedules are being met
- Run errands as needed for concert personnel
- Communicate and interact professionally with all celebrity personnel
- Avoid fans and unwelcome paparazzi as necessary for the celebrity’s safety
- Assist caterers and hospitality staff to set up and break down food and beverages
- Assist with the serving of catered meals
- Assist with clean-up of the dressing room and green room food and beverages
- Assist with fulfillment of any hospitality/catering needs from the artist
- Assist in maintaining dressing room and green room catering
- As directed, help with steaming and ironing of celebrity garments
- Clean, and empty trash cans and vacuum the dressing room, bathrooms, showers, and green room after completion of concerts
Dresser
- Maintain a current and accurate dresser track for the show
- Assist performers as a dresser; pre-set costumes and quick changes
- Document and perform alterations, repairs, maintenance, or any other work needed on costume pieces
- Press, steam, and launder garments
- Replace costumes at performers’ stations after all steps of laundering are completed
- Daily check all performers’ costumes & shoes for damage or stress, follow up on repair work needed on costumes & shoes
- Assist in preparing and distributing Dry Cleaning of costumes
- Maintain performer name labels in costumes
- Assist in maintaining a clean and safe work environment
- Additional duties may include assisting wardrobe, stage crew, and other duties as assigned, which are within reasonable functions of this position
Education and Experience:
- High School, GED, Technical School, or related experience. One year of theatre or hospitality, or previous experience working in a theatrical or performance setting is preferred
- Experience with popular software programs such as Microsoft Office and social/digital media platforms
Pay: $18/hour
