YES: The Album Series

Formed in Birmingham, England, YES are considered pioneers of progressive rock, having achieved worldwide success with a history spanning 47 years and 21 studio albums.  YES is known for its expansive songs, cosmic (often mystical) lyrics, complex musical textures, and powerful yet delicate lead vocals.  YES will be playing the Drama album in its entirety, and Sides 1 and 4 of Tales From Topographic Oceans plus their greatest hits, like “Roundabout,” and “Owner of a Lonely Heart.”  YES’ current line-up includes Steve Howe (guitars,) Alan White (drums,) Geoff Downes (keyboards,) Jon Davison (vocals,) and Billy Sherwood (guitars/vocals/keys.)

PLEASE NOTE: Due to recent back surgery, YES drummer Alan White will miss the Monday, July 25 concert at AMT.  Hurricane founding drummer Jay Schellen, who has also played with Asia and World Trade, will fill in for White while he recuperates.  More info here.
