Tony Bennett’s performance at American Music Theatre, Thursday, April 6, will not be taking place as the 19-time Grammy Award winner has a mild case of the flu and has been advised not to travel or perform for the new few days.
On behalf of Tony Bennett, we want to express his appreciation to all his fans in the area who purchased tickets for the concert and he sends his regrets that he will not be able to perform for them this evening.
Ticket holders are being asked to retain their tickets, and will be notified when a new show date is confirmed, hopefully in the next several weeks. Further details will be posted on the AMT website and ticket-holders will be notified as they become available.
We apologize for any inconvenience this postponement may cause.
No one else in popular American music has recorded for so long and at such a high level of excellence as Tony Bennett. Who can forget his stylish and sentimental renditions of “Because of You,” “The Good Life,” “Who Can I Turn To (When Nobody Needs Me,)” “I Wanna Be Around” and his signature song, “I Left My Heart in San Francisco.” With his smooth, romantic, tenor voice, this multi-Grammy winning musical legend returns to the AMT stage, armed with a vast collection of pop and jazz classics.
American Music Theatre is proud to welcome all types of shows and concerts to our stage. Sometimes during the course of a performance, audience members will show their enthusiasm by standing and dancing, or may approach the stage, especially when encouraged by the performers to do so. Please know that AMT will make every effort to insure the safety of all guests, while presenting an enjoyable experience for everyone.
