Great set from PPL who rocked the house with the best country rock ever made. It’s nice to see a band from the 70’s still play the songs like we remember them and still have musicians who were significant members like Reilly and Call who between them were on every PPL release. Call’s still the best steeler you’ll ever hear. LRB was enjoyable but have not a single member from their best days.
LRB for me was just OK, still not a big fan. PPl was incredible with a setlist that killed. Red hot stuff, very, very talented and professional musicians ! 5 stars for PPL.
Beautiful theater. Both bands put on fantastic shows. These two bands are made up of very talented musicians—-and really great guys. For those of you who continually have to gripe about non original members, do your homework and don’t come to the shows then. Bands personnel change all the time…did back then and do now. Thank GOD that Wayne Nelson is continuing to lead this great band. His bandmates Chris, Rich, Greg, and Ryan are spectacular and their new cd top notch. Pure Prairie League sounds great…we are lucky to be led the great Michael Reilly (original) and have the legendary steel guitar musician John David Call back. Scott and Donnie Lee are a tremendous plus to this band. Both bands delivered a heck of a show. We drove 15 hours to see them both and were NOT disappointed. Thank you LRB and PPL and American Music Theater!!!!
Both groups were very good. I thought the sound system was well balanced. I could enjoy the vocals and they weren’t drown out by the bands. Both bands are blessed with talented musicians. I didn’t appreciate the loud mouthed audience member, but at least he didn’t seem to bother the performers.
This was one of the best sounding concerts I’ve attended in a long time.
Good music, good show.
Exceptional performance by both bands.
Excellent performance. Great choice of songs. Sound was excellent
