Lancaster Symphony Orchestra

The Lancaster Symphony Orchestra, oftentimes shortened to LSO, became official on May 1, 1947. Interestingly enough, there were several prior attempts to create this hometown orchestra. However, two world wars and a national economic depression delayed any official debut. Following the end of World War II, the community was ready – and the symphony was a much-needed escape. After several community leaders began to spearhead efforts, the symphony formed as the Lancaster Symphony Orchestra.

From there, LSO only played a few concerts a year. Over time, it evolved from that small community orchestra to LSO as we know it today – a $1.7 million organization of professional musicians that presents several large concerts throughout the year. It is an organization that attracts international guest artists and conductors.

LSO also created the Sound Discovery Community Engagement Program, which features nationally-recognized Open Rehearsals. The interactive experience is meant to introduce classical music to both students and adults throughout Lancaster County.

Will and Anthony Nunziata

Will and Anthony Nunziata were born in Brooklyn, New York. The brothers both went to Boston College where they studied music, acting, and directing. The famed Upright Citizens Brigade in New York City is where they built and honed their improv comedy skills. As singers, songwriters, and entertainers, they merge their classically trained voices with comedy for a hilarious experience.

They perform their distinct take on classic & contemporary songs at arts centers, theaters, and symphony concerts with orchestras. Additionally, they run the “ARTS MATTER!” Educational Outreach Initiative and teach Master Class Workshops. Both are intended to educate and inspire students to pursue their passions fearlessly.

With a world-class symphony and an unforgettable comedy duo, this is shaping up to be a show you won’t want to miss. Get your tickets to see this incredible show and celebrate the New Year!
