Dining Review: Cafe 24 Hundred
Our group sales staff recently had lunch at Cafe 24 Hundred, located at the Doubletree Resort in Lancaster. It was a welcomed break from the traditional/country meals served by many of our local restaurants (which are all delish…I mean, who doesn’t love fried chicken, brown buttered noodles, and whoopie pies!?). Sometimes, though, it’s nice to have a lighter buffet option.
The décor was modern and classy, yet comfortable and inviting. The staff we had lunch with, as well as those that dropped by to say hello, were all extremely friendly. I know any group we send to the Café will get the same warm reception.
We enjoyed the options offered on their lunch buffet (which change daily, but have the same components of chicken, beef, pasta, soup, etc). Again, it’s quite different from what people typically expect from a buffet in Lancaster. The options are fewer, but my stomach still satisfied. The chicken was moist and delicious, the potatoes were done just right, and the salad bar hit the spot.
There were also options of beef, pasta, soup, and vegetables. Enough for all appetites, but not too much to make you overdo it! And I definitely can’t leave out my favorite part of the meal – the chocolate cake. I have a big-time sweet tooth and chocolate cake is at the top of my list. It was soooo good – the cake moist and the icing was sweet, but not too sweet. The perfect ending to my meal!
Overall, our experience was great. It’s definitely a nice lunch stop for something a little bit different for the area.
‘Til next time,
Nicole
