Brian Wilson Celebrates 50th Anniversary of Pet Sounds September 25!
When talking about music legends, you would be hard-pressed not to bring up the Beach Boys.
Pet Sounds was originally released in 1966 as the eleventh studio album by the Beach Boys. It sold enough to reach gold in 1967, but due to lack of paperwork, the album was not officially certified gold until it was certified Platinum in 2000. It is universally hailed as one of the greatest albums of all time – and one of the most influential in music history.
Brian Wilson produced and arranged this album, and wrote and composed almost all of its music. In honor of its 50th anniversary, Wilson will celebrate and perform the iconic Pet Sounds album on Monday, September 25 at 7:30 p.m. at AMT. He will be joined by Al Jardine and Blondie Chaplin, both former Beach Boys bandmates.
At the show, expect to hear a live performance of Pet Sounds in its entirety. You’ll also hear top hits and fan favorites, both from Wilson’s solo careers and from his 54-year career with the Beach Boys.
