American Music Theatre hosts up to 300 live performances a year, some of which are written, directed, and produced completely in-house, including our ever-popular Christmas Show. We call these productions “AMT Original Shows,” and AMT is the only theatre of its kind in the country that features both top-name Celebrity Concerts and original productions.

AMT’s production team, along with Artistic Director, Andrea McCormick, develop ideas for the shows using unique inspiration, as well as feedback received from our patrons. Using her extensive experience performing on and off-Broadway, Andrea’s intent is to create, design, and direct shows that give our guests what they want, and at the same time, present them in fresh, innovative ways as they’ve never been seen before.

To bring our Original Shows to life, we recruit only the highest caliber talent. Professional vocalists and dancers, expert lighting and sound technicians, seasoned set designers, and world-class musicians come to us from across the country, many of whom have performed or worked on Broadway!

Our costuming, wardrobe and set construction are all done on-site and in our own Lancaster-based scenery shop. We also hold auditions locally, as well as in New York City.

It’s all part of our dedication to delivering Original Shows that are the highest level of entertainment. That’s “The AMT Experience.”
